Retrospective Study of 23 adults treated for Scoliosis using the Spincecor Orthosis

This study looked at 23 adult patients with Scoliosis who were fitted with the Spinecor dynamic brace. These were all adult patients ranging in age from 18 to 65 years old. They all wore the brace for a minimum of 3 months up to a year between X-ray examinations. The patients were separated into 3 groups based on curve location. After the minimum 3 month treatment time the average change in curve across all groups was about 5 degrees. The maximum change occurred in a large curve of 94 degrees that reduced to 77 degrees.

While treatment of the adult patient with the Spinecor brace focuses more on improving muscle balancing and support of the spine this study shows small improvements in the curve measurement are also possible.
