Avoid the dangers of soft drinks

This is a topic I’ve covered before but it bears repeating. You and your family should be avoiding soft drinks as much as possible.

A recent study in the Journal of the American Medical Association showed that people who drank more than 2 soft drinks per day had an increase of death rates from all causes. This relationship happened with regular and diet soft drinks. Diet drinks with artificial sweeteners are not healthier.

The only difference between diet and regular soft drinks was what people were dying from. People who regularly drank diet soft drinks had more frequent deaths related to circulatory diseases. This would be things like heart disease, stroke, etc. People who drank regular soft drinks had more deaths from digestive diseases.

This was a huge study it included over 450,000 people and followed them for almost 20 years.

There is just no reason to regularly drink any of these beverages. Most people think of soda when we talk about soft drinks but all of the supposed sports drinks that are going to make you run faster and jump higher are made with the same lousy ingredients in soda. They just don’t have the carbonation.

Your body only needs water. Get a reusable water bottle and fill it with filtered water from your tap. Help the environment and your body at the same time.
